HIGHLIGHTS OF THE NIGHT

  1. Sachin Dekwal won the 9 th fight of his career by beating Amey Nitin in a 8 Round Unanimous Decision
  2. Urvashi Singh beat Madhu Rani in a gruelling 8 round fight with a Unanimous Decision
  3. Lokesh Dangi won his 2nd fight with a Unanimous decision in a 4 Round Super Feather weight Contest.

FIGHT SUMMARY

The first fight of the evening saw ,  24 year old Delhi Lad Rohan Yadav pitched against 19 Year old Harsh Yadav from, Madhya Pradesh.

While Rohan was the taller opponent Harsh attempted to negate the advantage by being the aggressor throughout the 4 rounds. Rohan tried to use his Height advantage by maintaining distance and using his Jabs with Harsh looking to come on the inside to land hooks and cuts. It was an evenly matched contest which was reflected on the judges scorecards. The contest ended in a Split Draw, with Judge No 1 declaring a draw and the other 2 judges favouring both the opponents separately.

FIGHT SUMMARY

The 2nd fight of the night had the much experienced 25 year old Delhi Girl Urvashi Singh against a relatively newbie in Madhu Rani from Haryana. A 8 round Bantam Weight Contest that went to the judges scorecards.

Before this fight, Urvashi Singh had a Professional Boxing record of 7 Wins and 2 losses. 

The fight didn’t start of all well for the Delhi Girl as she received a knockdown in the early stages of the 1st round. Keeping her head down and moving forward was the only course of action. She executed her usual tactics of gingerly moving forward and controlling the ring with combination one twos.

While Urvashi was a straight clean puncher, the Palwal born Madhu was a wild swinger with a few lusty blows landing onto Urvashi in almost all rounds. By the 6th round Madhu was visibly tired and Urvashi took full advantage. The scores reflected the ease of Urvashi’s victory with a Unanimous decision by all 3 judges.

The 7th fight of the evening pitted one fight old Lokesh Dangi against Md. Azahar who had contested in 4 fights in the past 2 years in the professional circuit. Dangi completely controlled the fight in all 4 rounds and by the 3rd round realized that Zahar was not inclined to let go of his defences. By the 3rd round Dangi resorted to showboating to lure Azahar to come forward.The fight was decided by the judges and as expected a unanimous decision in favour of Lokesh Dangi.

FIGHT SUMMARY

The main fight of the evening was an 8 round super contest between 2 experienced Boxers in the Light Weight Division. 25 year old Amey Nitin Kamble from Pune took on 25 year old South paw Sachin Dekwal from Faridabad. 
Fighting the 9th fight of his career Sachin Dekwal had an unbeaten Pro Record of 9 Wins. His opponent in the Red corner Amey Nitin had a  fight record of 4 wins and 2 losses before this fight.
Both fighters went punch for punch in the opening rounds, however Sachin was able to land a lot more clearer punches and started to dominate the fight from the 3rd round onwards. A lot of clear left hook to the face had battered Amey by the 5th round
Amey was visibly tired from the battering that he recieved in the 3 rd round that he kept his down with wild swings for Sachin to completely dominate the fight from then on. In the ensuing flurry, Amey was able to land a few lusty blows himself.
From the 4th round onwards Sachin Dekwal was the aggressor and looked to go for the kill with a knockdown that had Amey floored on the canvas just before the bell.
The fight miraculously went to the judges cards at the end of 8 rounds and as expected Sachin was the winner by a unanimous decision. The Pune lad Amey Nitin showed a lot of grit to hold on till the end of the 8th round, but he knows he was battered out there. It will take a lot of time for him to recover from this onslaught.
