This was truly an evening to remember for 14 new professional boxers from Mumbai, Palghar and Pune at the General Arun Vaidya Indoor Stadium at Pune. The famed indoor boxing hall, witnessed a solid boxing initiative aimed at developing and encouraging young talent by Delhi based Professional Boxing Promotions organization PBM headed by Dr. James Massey.
A total of 10 bouts were held on the night with boxers from Indrajeet Keer’s Boxing Club (Palghar) , SS Boxing Club, (Pune), Team Roshan Boxing Club (Delhi) and Cult Fit (Hyderabad) taking part in the show.

Yet another KO victory for Dannis James. This was his 3rd straight victory via KO.
While, Gautam showed some early promise, the fight did not go beyond the 2nd round. A lot of body shots from Dannis found their mark and the referee realized that Gautam was not putting up any kind of resistance. He rightly called an end to the fight.
Dannis James won by TKO in 2nd round.
Mohd Azahar Vs Amarnath Jadhav

This fight was billed as the headline act. Md Azahar from Delhi, was fighting after a gap of almost 2 years owing to covid related complications and fight cancellations in the last few months. His opponent Amarnath Yadav, was making his professional boxing debut. Amarnath, has had a decent Amateur boxing background in Maharashtra and is one of the early converts from the state to Pro Boxing.
The fight was quite cagey throughout the 4 rounds.
Md. Azahar seemed to have won over the 3 judges in the first round. However, Amarnath Yadav came back strongly in the 3rd and 4th rounds to clinch victory on points by a Unanimous Decision.

This was by far the most action packed fight of the evening. Heavy weight contests usually have that impact in Boxing around the world.
Both Joshua and Akshay went at each other with everything they had from the first bell in Round 1. The action finally started settling by the end of the 4th round as both boxers started heaving and tiring.
Joshua, dominated on the scorecards of all 3 judges and won the fight comfortably on points with a Unanimous decision from all 3 judges.

This was a good win for Nasreen Shaik from Rajamhundry, AP.
The boxer who trains at SAI Vizag with Boxing coach IV Rao had a comfortable outing against Pune boxer Chetali who was making her Pro Boxing debut.
The referee had a lot of work in the early rounds to separate the 2 boxers from clinches and holding. Nasreen, was sharper and lot of good clean shots connected all through the 4 rounds.

Both boxers were making their Pro Boxing Debuts.
Hemangi, threw a lot of straight punches and basic one- two combinations. Her coach Indrajeet Keer, would have been delighted seeing the form and composure from the young girl. Her workrate was commendable especially because she was able to keep it consistent throughout the 4 rounds.
Hemangi Parab won by Unanimous Decision at the end of 4 rounds.

This was a fight that almost did not happen.
Shameeruddin Shaik, was a replacement fighter who was included in the fightcard only 4 hours before the fight. He weighed in at 69 Kgs while Toshendra weighed at 71.2 Kgs.
Despite the weight disadvantage Shameeruddin took the early lead with a strong start in the 1st round. He possibly could have claimed a knockdown that the Referee did not see.
However, Shaik seemed to have taken the foot of the pedal from the 2nd round onwards. This allowed Toshendra to start making a comeback slowly and steadily. Toshendra possibly nicked the next 3 rounds in the eyres of the judges owing to a stronger intent to engage as well as ring control.
In the end, two Judges decided in Toshendra’s favour while the 3rd Judge gave the fight in favour of Shameeruddin Shaik.
Toshendra Singh Lodhi won the fight by a Split Decision
