What are the qualifications? Who Can Apply?


All those who are / have been Amateur Boxing Referees & Judges / NIS qualified / former National or State level Boxers / Officials of Mixed Martial Arts who are keen, physically fit and below the age of 45 years are eligible to apply.

I am a qualified International Referee/ Judge in Amateur Boxing, Do I need to undergo the certification?


Yes, you need to undergo the  IBC A Level workshop and certification before you  are invited to Professional Boxing events as an official.

I have officiated in professional boxing events and also have a WBC/ WBA/ WBO certifications.

Great! You are welcome to join us, however,  you need to undergo the IBC A level workshop and certification before you  are invited to IBC sanctioned professional boxing events as an official.

What are the benefits of becoming an IBC Certified Referee & Judge?

    • Get a handsome officiating allowance while on deputation for events. Currently, IBC Referees & Judges receive INR 2,000 as an officiating allowance when deputed for a Boxing Fight Night sanctioned by the IBC. All costs for travel, lodging, boarding & food while on deputation are paid by the boxing promoter who hosts the event.

    • From 01st January 2022 onwards, Referees & Judges will receive an officiating allowance of INR 3,000 per event. A higher officiating allowance is sanctioned for WBC India Championship Fights and other World sanctioning bodies Title Fights in India in which IBC functions as the National Commission.

Who will conduct the workshop?


The workshop sessions will be conducted by India’s foremost Professional Boxing Supervisors & Medical Experts, who have experience of over 600 professional boxing bouts, Continental Titles + World Title championship fight experience between them.

In addition, key course content may also be delivered by International guest Lecturers via an online platform.

Will this be available online?


No, these workshops will not be conducted for an online audience.  Referee & Judge “A – Level” Workshop and Certification will be conducted in person in a class room environment.

The workshop course will be in the form of lectures followed by practical tests of Judging and Refereeing in actual bouts in the boxing ring.

When will IBC conduct the next workshop/ Certification


We have an urgent need for young and dynamic Ring Officials to officiate at IBC sanctioned events. We will announce Workshop & Certification schedules for South Zone, West Zone and East Zone very shortly.
